Door models

They are secured with padded stops on a door frame. They are the most accessible because they do not require work, and also the most limited: they usually support between 100 and 130 kg and only work on solid doors with a firm frame. A hollow interior door, very common in modern homes, is not a valid anchor, no matter how much the stop fits. Also check that the door opens to the opposite side and is locked during use.

Roof models

They support much more, between 150 and 250 kg depending on the model, but the real limit is not set by the swing but by the anchoring point. The hook must be screwed to a wooden joist or to a chemical block in the floor, never to plasterboard or a false ceiling. Locate the joist with a detector or by tapping until you find a solid sound, and use an eyebolt with a thread of at least 8 mm, penetrating a minimum of 5 cm into solid wood.

Self-supporting steel structure, without touching walls or ceiling. It is the option for rental or for those who cannot drill. They take up space and are heavy, but they completely eliminate the question of anchoring, which is exactly where the risk lies.

Maintenance and storage

The nylon straps and stitching are the aging part, not the metal. It is advisable to check the sewing points, carabiners and the condition of the hook or support before each session, and replace any piece that shows frays.

Always store the set dry and unfolded in the same fold, because a permanent mark on a strap is the first warning of material fatigue. On machines, clean the stem after each use and store accessories separately.
