Ribbed & Dotted

Ribbed & Dotted

The condones con textura do not protect any more or less than a smooth one: if they are CE marked, the barrier is the same. What changes is the surface, and that change is noticed above all in the receiving person, which is a detail that almost no box explains. Knowing where the relief is and in what direction it goes is what allows you to choose wisely instead of based on the drawing on the container.

Where the texture goes and for whom

Most condones estriados and dotted ones have the relief on the outside, so the person who perceives it the most is the recipient. There are also models with an interior texture, designed to increase the sensation of the wearer, and models with relief only in a specific section, which concentrate the stimulus in the initial part of the journey. If the texture is on the entire surface, the sensation is more uniform; If it is in rings, it is more marked in sections.

Lubricant matters more here

A textured surface generates more friction than a smooth one, and friction without sufficient lubrication goes from stimulating to annoying in a short time. With texture, it is advisable to add lubricant on the outside from the beginning and reapply before resistance appears, especially in long sessions.

Only water-based or silicone-based on latex; Vegetable and mineral oils deteriorate the material in minutes. You have them at Water-Based.

Size and thickness

The texture does not compensate for an incorrect size. The nominal width, the measurement that appears on the box, ranges between 49 and 60 mm, and a tight condom is noticeable before any relief. The condones con puntos are usually slightly thicker than an ultra-thin, which is logical if you think about how the relief is manufactured, and this difference slightly reduces the sensitivity of the wearer. If that's your priority, a model with a textured interior compensates better.

Check before buying

CE marking and reference to the EN ISO 4074 standard on the box, expiry date legible on the individual envelope and intact envelopes. If you are allergic to latex, the textured polyisoprene versions exist and protect just the same: they are in Latex Free. One at a time, never two overlapping. Exclusive sale for people over 18 years of age.

Discreet shipping from Lace & Luna

Orders arrive in plain, unbranded packaging, with no reference to the contents on the outside, and the bank charge is just as discreet. Details are at embalaje discreto. We are a family store and in this category a varied pack seems like better advice than blindly betting on a texture.

Where is the texture

Not all textured condoms have the relief in the same place. Some concentrate it in the upper half, others distribute it over the entire surface and others place it only at the base. The position completely changes who benefits from the relief.

Those with internal and external texture combine stimulation for both parts, and are the ones that usually give a more balanced result when it is not clear what we are looking for.

Material and conservation

Latex is the usual material and the most elastic. For those who have allergies, there are polyisoprene versions, with a similar feel, and polyurethane, thinner and compatible with any lubricant.

They are stored away from heat and light, never in your purse for weeks or in the glove compartment of your car, and the expiration date is always checked before using them. A poorly preserved condom loses resistance even if the packaging is intact.

Size is what decides

A poorly fitting textured condom loses all the advantage of the relief, because if there is excess material the texture does not make contact and if it is too tight it is uncomfortable and increases the risk of breakage.

The measurement that matters is the nominal width, not the length. The circumference is measured and divided by two to obtain the data that appears on the box. It is worth buying a small pack of two adjacent sizes and comparing before deciding on a large box.

Frequently asked questions

Do they protect the same as a smooth one?

Yes, as long as they carry the CE marking and reference to the EN ISO 4074 standard. The texture affects the sensation, not the barrier.

Who notices the texture?

Mainly the recipient person, because the relief is usually on the outside. The models with interior texture are designed for those who wear them.

Stretch marks or spots?

The stretch marks give a sensation in sections, more marked in the first layers. The points distribute the stimulus more continuously along the route.

Do I need more lubricant?

Yes. The relief increases friction and without sufficient lubrication it is annoying. Add on the outside from the beginning and reapply in long sessions.

Are there any latex-free ones?

Yes, in polyisoprene and with the same protection capacity, suitable for latex allergies.
