Bodywear

Bodywear brings together one-piece garments: bodysuits, jumpsuits, catsuits and fishnet pieces. They all share a characteristic that differentiates them from the rest of the lingerie, and that is that the measurement that decides the fit is not the chest or the hips, but the waist, the distance that the garment travels from the shoulder to the crotch.

The size, again

It is the measure that causes the most returns in this category. It is taken by passing the tape from the shoulder, in front, between the legs and back to the same shoulder on the back.

If the result exceeds the product table, go up one size even if the chest and hips match. A one-piece garment with a short waist pulls up and becomes uncomfortable when sitting, no matter how well it fits standing up.

Closures and access

Hooks in the crotch are the most practical system: they allow you to go to the bathroom without undressing and slightly adjust the size depending on the hook you use.

Pieces without closure are visually cleaner but require removing the entire garment. And models with an opening solve this problem in another way. If the bodysuit is going to be worn under clothes for hours, the closure system matters more than the fabric.

Fabrics and transparencies

Stretch lace fits and is the most comfortable for extended wear. Mesh and tulle are light and very sheer, flattering but delicate. Satin is not transparent and gives a polished finish.

Wetlook and vinyl do not have vertical elasticity, so the size must be exact, and they are not worn for many hours at a time because they do not breathe. For use under clothing, stretch cotton or microfiber work best.

Be careful

Hand wash in cold water with neutral soap, without wringing, and dry flat in the shade. The dryer loosens the elastane irreversibly in just a few cycles.

Store the pieces folded and not hanging, so that the weight does not deform the straps, and separated from anything with hooks or zippers. Exclusive sale for people over 18 years of age.

Discreet shipping from Lace & Luna

Orders arrive in plain, unbranded packaging, with no reference to the contents on the outside, and the bank charge is just as discreet. Details are at embalaje discreto. We are a family store and for one-piece garments we insist on measuring the size.

How to measure size at home

The size is measured with a measuring tape going from the shoulder, in front of the body, between the legs and back to the same shoulder on the back. That number, and not the chest or hips, is what decides whether a one-piece garment will fit comfortably or will pull down the neckline all the time.

For reference, most of the standard sizes in this category are designed for a size between 150 and 165 centimeters. Above this figure, it is advisable to look for models with adjustable straps or with hooks in two or three positions, which are those that allow the difference to be corrected without sacrificing the fit of the rest of the garment.

What is worn underneath

It depends on the closure. Models with hooks in the crotch are worn without anything underneath, because the garment itself fulfills that function and adding a panty nullifies the access that the design justifies. Catsuits and opaque fabric jumpsuits accept seamless underwear, and there the rule is the same as always: the tighter the outer fabric, the smoother the garment inside has to be.

With net and transparent fabrics, what is worn underneath is part of the outfit and is chosen to match, not to hide it. It is the only case in the category in which the underwear is seen on purpose.

Closures and real comfort

The hooks in the crotch are the standard and the point where the quality is most noticeable: three positions allow the size to be adjusted, only one does not. The long zippers on catsuits make it easier to put them on and are also the first thing to fail, so it is a good idea to check that they are sewn on reinforced tape and not directly on the mesh.

Frequently asked questions

How is the size measured?

With the tape from the shoulder, in front, between the legs and back to the same shoulder on the back.

What do I do if I am between sizes?

Go up to the top. In one-piece garments, the short waist is much more noticeable than a slight excess of looseness.

Can it be worn under clothes?

Yes, especially those made of elastic cotton or microfiber. The wetlook or vinyl ones do not breathe and are not comfortable for many hours.

Are square brackets necessary?

No, but they are much more practical if you are going to wear the garment for hours, because they avoid having to undress completely.

How are they washed?

By hand, in cold water and with neutral soap, drying flat. The dryer ruins the elastane in just a few cycles.
