Ring size

It is what most determines the result. Measure the perimeter of the erected base with a tape or cord and divide by 3.14 to obtain the diameter; the appropriate ring is usually between three and five millimeters lower.

It should feel firm without pain. Cold, tingling, numbness, or color change are signs to remove it immediately. Twenty minutes maximum of continuous use, and never asleep or with alcohol involved.

Sleeves: thickness, length and sensitivity

A thick cover changes the feeling of the couple much more than your own. An extender adds length and usually greatly reduces the sensitivity of the wearer, because it interposes a layer of material.

Thin silicone cases are the most discreet; the thick TPE ones, the most striking. Check the inner diameter before purchasing, because a loose cover moves and a cover that is too tight tightens like a ring without being one.

Materials and compatibility

Body grade silicone is the safest option: elastic, non-porous and easy to wash. TPE is softer and more realistic but porous. Metal and steel give constant weight and pressure, and do not give, so the size must be exact.

With any of them, water-based lubricant. Silicone formulas degrade the surface of the silicone and TPE, and oils are not used with condoms under any circumstances.

Cleaning and storage

Wash after each use with warm water and neutral soap or Toy Cleaners & Essentials product, paying attention to the inside of the covers, which is where the lubricant accumulates.

When combined, it is worth checking two measurements: that of the ring at the base and that of the inner channel of the cover. A correct ring with a sleeve that is too tight is also uncomfortable.

##How long can it take

The reasonable limit for any piece that compresses the base is twenty or thirty minutes. After that time it is removed, even if there is no discomfort, because the warning sensation comes late.

Any tingling, numbness, cold, or color change is reason to remove it immediately. With covers without an integrated ring this precaution does not apply, because they do not restrict circulation.

Materials and compatibility

Silicone is the most common and most comfortable material, but it does not accept silicone-based lubricant because the surface degrades. With silicone, always water-based. TPE and TPR are more elastic and cheaper, although porous, so it is advisable to use them with a condom if the piece is shared.

Metal and stainless steel are non-porous and clean thoroughly without problem, but since they do not give way, they require much more precision with the size. They are pieces for those who already know their size.

Cleaning and storage

Warm water and neutral soap after each use, completely air dried and stored separately in a cloth bag. Silicone pieces should not touch each other during storage, because some formulations react and leave the surface sticky.
