##Why the casing changes the feel

The case is not just a rigid packaging. Being a closed container, it turns the interior into a pressure chamber: when the back cap is tight, air does not escape and the cover adheres. By loosening it, air circulates and the pressure drops immediately.

This adjustment is free and is the one that changes the experience the most. Before buying another model, it is worth trying the same one with the cap in three different positions.

The versions open at both ends forego that chamber by design: they do not generate suction, but they rinse in seconds and allow use as a couple.

The material and its weak point

The cover is a thermoplastic elastomer with a very soft touch. This softness has a counterpart: it is porous, absorbs fats and does not tolerate high temperatures.

From there come the three rules that determine how long it lasts. No silicone lubricant or oil, because they irreversibly degrade the surface. No very hot water or hairdryer, because they deform the cover. And no alcohol or harsh cleaners.

With warm water, complete air drying, and a pinch of renewing powder, the same cover stays in good condition for years. Without that, it breaks down in months.

The warm-up trick

The material is at room temperature, around 20 degrees, and the thermal contrast is quite noticeable.

The correct way to heat it is indirect: immerse the case alone, outside the casing, in warm water for a few minutes, and then dry it well. Never microwave, never boil water and never heat the case with the cover inside.

Some people use a specific rod heater, which is the cleanest option because it does not wet the cover.

How much lubricant is needed

Much more than what is usually put. The reference amount is two to three teaspoons, distributed between the entrance and the inside of the case.

Water based only. If you notice that it dries halfway through use, do not add more product directly: a few drops of water reactivate the water-based lubricant, which is exactly what a silicone lubricant does not allow you to do.

Storage

Store the case outside the case once dry, so that no moisture is trapped, and avoid direct contact with silicone or TPE toys, because the soft materials can react with each other and become marked.

With or without casing

The casing provides two things: adjustable suction and firm grip, which is what allows the product to be used without deforming it. Loose covers, without casing, gain discretion and ease of cleaning, and lose just those two things. For a first purchase, the version with a casing performs better.

Compact formats are the intermediate solution: they keep the suction cap in a much shorter body and fit in a drawer without attracting attention. The counterpart is a shorter channel, which not everyone notices but is worth knowing.

Accessories that change the use

The shower holder makes the product hands-free, the heater returns the body temperature in a few minutes and the wand dryer solves the weak point of the entire system, which is the humid interior. Of the three, the last is the one that extends the useful life the most.

Warm-up

The material is at room temperature and it shows. Immersing the removed cover in warm water for three or four minutes, drying it on the outside, and reassembling it changes the experience quite a bit, and it's free. The water should not be hot, because the material deforms above about fifty degrees.

The alternative is a rod heater, which does the same thing without getting anything wet and avoids the risk of leaving moisture inside. For those who use the product frequently, it is the most appreciated accessory after the hair dryer.
